Why Buy Yarn?

These tails are made of 100% Yarn, well plus some elastic bands for attachment. What's great about yarn tails are their flexible cores, that allow the tails to wag and sway with your body (No more limp prop tails). Also, great care and love is put into each tail, they are made extra fluffy so that the needed brushing does not thin the tails. And believe me they need brushed.

FurtasticTails are hand made tails for the wild and crazy, the animals among us, they are for anyone that has ever wished for that extra fluffy appendage to make them feel whole.

Non Yarn Tails

Currently there has been much experimentation with different materials, which has led to the Serpent tail, and horse tail, and more to come. These tails are out of our normal expertise but do not let that stop you from buying one, they are equally as fun to wear.

Maintenance

Yarn tails require maintenance just like an animals fur coat, it sheds and needs to be brushed after it has been worn. Please do not attempt to wash your tail, unless you want it wavy. Keep tails dry and well groomed, any normal cat brush will do!

Specification Clarification

Collar Styles

Left: clip connector

Middle: clip connector

Right: triglider connector

Description: Clip style is cost more but is a much nicer fit and easier to put on. The Triglider style is cheaper and looks less like a collar for those just looking for a choker or rave accessory.

Tail Hair Length

Left: Short hair style

Right: Normal hair style

Description: Short hair is fluffier and easier to manage, it doesn't shed as much. The normal hair is great if you are going for a realistic looking tail, but it does shed more and needs more care.

Left: 24in long

Right: 15 in long

Description: You can order a tail with any thickness/length but their are four recommended combinations that look best.

Left: Connector style for full wire tails

Right: Connector style for wireless tails

(bottom view)

Description: Furtastictails has a newly improved way of connecting your wired tail to your belt. As you can see the elastic loop is virtually invisible, making your tail look more realistic and more secure than other yarn tails. This style is important when you have a tail with wire, in order to keep the tail in its shape.

The style you see on the right is used for our wireless tails, it allows the tails to move more freely and wag with your body!

Top: 2 loop connector style for tails thicker than 5in.

Bottom: 1 loop connector style for tails 5in. thick or thinner

Description: Two loops are put on our thicker tails for more stability. You can request two loops on smaller tails but the elastic loops themselves will be smaller.

Harness: If you purchase a two loop tail that is 8in. thick and wish to use it on one of our harnesses you may request an extra clip on your harness to accommodate.

Wire Comparison

Description: The image shown is a 15in. tail so It is a little difficult to see just how much of a curl you can get with full wire. If you have a longer tail, full wire can really give your tail character.
